PETERSEN MEDIA: Spending his weekend in New Richmond, WI taking on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, Paul Nienhiser and his team would make vast improvement from Friday to Saturday as Nienhiser capped his weekend with a 10th place finish.

“Friday night I just felt like we were okay when the night started and never really found the balance I was looking for,” Nienhiser said. “Everyone on the team worked really hard and I was really happy with how we progressed all weekend long.”

Timing in 20th fastest in time trials on Friday night in the CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil/Mason Sound/Innovative Design No. 9x, Nienhiser would line up seventh in his heat race. Working on getting better for heat race competition, the Chapin, IL driver would make a couple of nice moves to pick up the final transfer to the feature event on the race’s last lap.

Continuing to go through his car, Nienhiser would take the green flag from the 17th starting position and would have a tough road in front of him. Though he admittedly felt more comfortable, Nienhiser knew he still had work to be done after finishing 20th on this night.

Saturday night Nienhiser would get off to a little better start as he would time in 18th in time trials before working his way up to finish fifth in his heat race and move into the 41-lap feature event.

Feeling the best he had felt all weekend, Nienhier and company continued to tune on the Bradshaw Custom Pumping/Wessler Bros. Agency/Bob Hawks Auto Body machine in preparation for the upcoming feature event.

With some confidence in his entry, Nienhiser would work his way forward and find himself inside the Top-10 as he battled with some of the best in country. Jumping up late in the race, a restart would hinder Nienhiser as he would lose a couple of positions though still managed to hang on to finish 10th with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’.

“Leaving the weekend I feel really accomplished after how far we were off when we unloaded on Friday night,” Nienhiser added. “I had a ton of confidence in the feature on Saturday night with how we felt in the heat race and in the opening laps of the feature. All in all it turned out to be a good weekend, and I am looking forward to getting back to Lincoln, IL this weekend.”

Nienhiser would like to thank CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil, Mason Sound, Innovative Design, Bradshaw Custom Pumping, Wessler Bros. Agency, Bob Hawks Auto Body, Littleton Storm & Timber, Fierce Herbicide, Sunstoppers Window Tinting, Engler Machine and Tool, FK Indy, Rider Racing Engines, Kaeding Performance, and Steve Thomas Racing for their continued support.
