Nienhiser Seventh with USAC at Lawrenceburg Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA: Reuniting with the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series on Saturday night for the first time since the season opening trip to Florida, Paul Nienhiser picked up a seventh place finish aboard the KO Motorsports entry.
“I am really happy with how things went considering it was my first time at Lawrenceburg Speedway,” Nienhiser said. “I’m also glad we survived the night because I know how tough the place can be on equipment. It is a pretty intimidating place, with a ton of character.”
After struggling in warmups, the CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil/Roadworks/Peterbilt team would go to work on Nienhiser’s No.5n mount and get him better for time trials as he would time in third fastest.
Lining up on the outside of the third row for heat race action, Nienhiser would make some big time moves and work his way into the second position. Losing one spot, Nienhiser would still hang on to finish third and move directly into the feature event.
Lining up fifth for the feature event, Nienhiser would get off to a good start just as he did in heat race action as he jumped up to third in the race’s early stages.
Having some issues with a shock mount failing halfway through the race, Nienhiser would now have a handful to deal with as he worked around the Lawrenceburg Speedway facility.
Wrestling his machine around for the latter half of the race, Nienhiser would give up a few positions, but was still able to stay inside the Top-10 as he finished in the seventh position.
“Even with the part issue, we still had a great car and that is all a testament to the KO Motorsports team’s preparation in the shop,” Nienhiser said. “Really getting comfortable with this team, and in these cars. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible.”
Nienhiser would like to thank CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil, Roadworks, Peterbilt, Mason Sound, Innovative Design, Bradshaw Custom Pumping, Wessler Bros. Agency, Bob Hawks Auto Body, Fierce Herbicide, Sunstoppers Window Tinting, Engler Machine and Tool, FK Indy, Rider Racing Engines, Kaeding Performance, Smith Titanium Products, Vortex Wings, Signature Signs and Design, and Team Simpson for their continued support.
2021 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-4, Wins-0, Top 5’s-1, Top 10’s-2
ON TAP: Friday night Nienhiser will return to the seat of the Scott Bonar No. 50 car as he competes with the IRA, and on Saturday night he will battle with the World of Outlaws aboard the KO Motorsports Winged entry.
