Paul Nienhiser - Solid Two Weeks with the Outlaws!

Paul Nienhiser left Brandon, SD this weekend with a lot of momentum going into the rest of summer.

The team traveled to Beaver Dam, WI last weekend to race with the World of Outlaws. Paul qualified 11th quickest, and finished 4th in his heat race, locking him into the main event. Starting 11th, a tight racecar early saw him lose a few positions, but at one point he was running in the top 8 on the track after a late race charge. He would ultimately finish a respectable 12th place.

The Outlaws invaded Badlands Motor Speedway in Brandon, SD July 2-3 at which Paul and the team made the 1120 mile round trip for. Night #1 saw Paul frustrated with his qualifying efforts, although still timing 10th quickest in his flight amongst the 40 car field. He would start and finish 5th in his heat race, earning a transfer into the main event. Putting on a big charge from the 20th starting spot, Paul raced his way into the top 10, but an untimely caution and several red flags broke his momentum, seeing him cross the finish line in 11th.

Night #2 saw Paul lay down the 3rd quickest qualifying time in his flight amongst the now 41 car field. He lined up front row outside of his heat race, hanging on for 2nd and a spot in his first World of Outlaws dash of the season. Overheating issues began to plague the 9x machine, and Paul finished 8th in the dash. That is where he lined up for the main event. He managed to move up into 6th position midway through the race, but after using up all of his tires he faded to 10th late, but earned his first top 10 of the season with the Outlaws!

Next on tap: Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI with the World of Outlaws July 8-9.

A big thank you goes out to the pit crew helping week in and week out: John Nienhiser, Roger Staake, Ralph Willhite, Drake Willhite, Greg Ford, Craig Grimsley, and Bob Hawks.
